INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fl (treasurecoast.com) – A man in Indian River County has been arrested after deputies had to pursue him multiple times.

Gary Baker was able to evade authorities on two separate occasions over the past several weeks, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.

Baker has already had several felony suspensions on his driver’s license when he was approached by Indian River deputies and proceeded to flee on his motorcycle.

Here is the info according to the Indian River Sheriff:

On 11/21/2022 members of the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, Street Crimes Unit arrested Gary Baker on numerous felony charges.
During two separate incidents in the last few weeks, Baker has recklessly fled deputies trying to arrest him.
Baker, who has multiple felony habitual suspensions on his driver’s license, was seen operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle when deputies attempted to stop him.
Baker eluded arrest by driving recklessly at extremely high speeds with no regard for the safety of our community.
On 11/21/2022 six arrest warrants were issued for Baker.
Later that day Baker was seen by detectives in the Street Crimes Unit driving illegally again and pulling into his residence.
Detectives made forced entry into Baker’s residence and arrested him on the warrants.
During the arrest detectives located a .45 caliber handgun on the bed next to Baker and an AR-15 rifle next to Baker’s bed.
Baker is a two-time convicted felon which prohibits him from possessing firearms.
A search warrant was executed at Baker’s residence and during the search detectives located over six grams of heroin which is considered drug trafficking per Florida Statute.
