Indian River Deputies find man suffering from multiple stab wounds outside station. United States Marshals arrest perp.

Vero Beach, Fl (treasurecoast.com) – The Indian River Deputies found a  man suffering from multiple stab wounds outside their station.  The United States Marshals arrested the guy who stabbed him.

Here is what happened!

Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon (Case#2022-1369)
On 07/22/2022, at approximately 11:38 pm, deputies were flagged down at the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office by the victim, a 32 year old male, who was suffering from a large stab wound to his right arm. The wound was so severe deputies had to apply a tourniquet to control the bleeding.
The victim advised that he had been stabbed several times by another male subject in a vehicle in front of the Oceanaire Inn Motel located at 1021 21st St. within the city limits of Vero Beach.
Officers responded to the Oceanaire and located an additional crime scene. Following multiple interviews with witnesses, the victim, and through other investigative means detectives with the Vero Beach Police Department were able to determine that the victim was stabbed during an altercation with an associate, Mr. Abel Erives (43).
Erives fled the scene following the incident. An arrest warrant was issued for Erives for Aggravated Battery on 07/25/2022. The United States Marshals Task Force Unit was able to quickly locate and arrest Erives in Ft. Pierce on 07/28/2022. Erives also possessed an additional warrant out of St. Lucie County for fraud and was booked into St. Lucie County Jail. Erives is being held on $10,000 bond and will be transported to Indian River County for the Aggravated Battery charge at a later date.
