Hurricane Season is over!
Miami, Fl (treasurecoast.com) – The 2019 Atlantic hurricane season has ended.
The season produced 18 named storms, including six hurricanes with three of those classified as “major”. NOAA predicted there would be 10-17 named storms, 5-9 hurricanes and 2-4 major hurricanes. This year marks the fourth consecutive Atlantic hurricane season with above-normal activity. NOAA says an average season has 12 named storms, six hurricanes, and three major hurricanes. The 2020 hurricane season begins on June 1 and NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center will provide its initial seasonal outlook in May.
