Home Depot employee stop shoplifters

Martin County, Fla (TreasureCoast.com)-An alert Home Depot Employee is credited with stopping a shoplifting spree before it could even get started. The employee, who works at the Home Depot in Jensen Beach became concerned at a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot early this morning. The car was occupied by two people, and had blue tape covering the license plate. The employee immediately notified management who contacted the Sheriff’s Office.

When deputies arrived, 32-year old Ashley Nicole Michalski and 33-year old Kenneth Mathew Johnson, both of Jensen Beach were sitting inside the vehicle. Johnson admitted they were there to shoplift from the store. Following a search of the car, both were taken into custody. Kenneth Johnson was charged with Possession of Heroin, Xanax and drug paraphernalia, Ashley Nicole Michalski was charged with Possession of drug paraphernalia. Their vehicle was seized.
