HCA Florida renames hospitals in St. Lucie and Okeechobee

HCA Florida Healthcare is adding its name to its hospitals in Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie and others across the state, the hospital chain announced, effective Thursday.

Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce is now HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, while Treasure Coast St. Lucie Medical Center is now HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital, according to officials.

HCA has 400 sites across the state, including 49 hospitals, urgent care centers and 350 physician practices, the company said in a statement.

“Bringing all of our hospitals under one brand creates a connected and collaborative healthcare experience for our patients,” said Jennifer Guerrieri, director of media relations HCA’s East Florida Division.

Another HCA facility, Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee County, changed to HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital.
