Pilot killed at Stuart Air Show

Stuart, Fl- The pilot of the Grumman Mohawk aircraft that was set to take part in this weekend’s Stuart Airshow was killed when his plane crashed on a runway extension at Whitham Field. The crash occurred just after 1pm today.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is working with the NTSB to investigate all aspects of this terrible tragedy. At this hour, the airport is closed. Airshow coordinators are asking that you turn to their social media for updates on the show’s scheduled events.
