Volunteers Take Action to Clean, Restore and Renew Fort Pierce!

Keep Fort Pierce Beautiful builds and sustains a clean, green and a more beautiful Fort Pierce. They are gearing up for the 2017 Great American Cleanup. The Great American Cleanup is the country’s largest community improvement program that kicks off in more than 20,000 communities each spring.
This year’s event will take place on Saturday, April 1st from 8:00 a.m. to noon. The location is PAL Park located at 903 S. 21st Street in Fort Pierce. All volunteers will be assigned to a team to tackle various improvement projects throughout our community. Each volunteer will receive a free t-shirt and safety supplies, and the first 300 volunteers will also receive a goody bag. Volunteers will enjoy a FREE grilled lunch and refreshing drinks provided by Fort Pierce Utilities Authority.

“It is extremely important to have our Fort Pierce residents come out and volunteer to keep Fort Pierce beautiful. We had over 250 volunteers last year and we are looking to increase that number this year,” said Paul Bertram, Executive Director of Keep Fort Pierce Beautiful.

Each year, the Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup engages more than 4 million volunteers and participants across the country to take action in their local communities to create positive change and lasting impact.
