Get into the holiday spirit with music, crafts, and a snowball zone at the PSLinLights Party

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL – The weather outside isn’t frightful, so warm up the holiday season at the City of Port St. Lucie and the St. Lucie Cultural Alliance’s PSLinLights Party this Friday, Dec. 16, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center, 9221 Southeast Event Center Place.

There are lots of festive events going on this time of year, but this three-hour live showcase is for everyone, but especially music lovers. It features four local acts performing the holiday season’s most beloved music and dance performances:

·        Instrumental holiday jazz classics by saxophonist Gary Palmer

·        Dance performances by Preston Contemporary Dance Company

·        Rock n’ roll the season with the Stubborn B’s

·        Fun holiday music and audience sing-alongs by PSL Orchestra’s Brass Quintet

·        A “Blue Christmas” with Elvis impersonator Keith “King” Gipson

In addition to music, City elves will reveal some of the most over-the-top residential holiday lights displays on a large TV screen. Santa will take a short break from his busy schedule and be available for photos, hugs and wishes. Yuletide refreshments such as steaming cups of hot cocoa, cookies and candy canes will be provided (while supplies last) as partygoers listen to live holiday music and watch local dancers perform their magic. The night will also provide opportunities to win prizes when guests enter the holiday trivia contest and festive pet costume contest.

Three kid zones will feature two interactive craft areas and a snowball zone with hundreds of artificial snowballs plus a flurry of artificial snow. All craft materials will be provided (while supplies last), and this event is free for all!

Three food trucks, Wafflini’s, CoolBeanz, and BBQ Island Style will be on-site to provide a variety of cuisine for purchase.
