Ft. Pierce: Home Invasion Burglars caught minutes after breaking in.

At 2:11 p.m. 9-1-1 dispatchers received a call of a home invasion in the 2200 block of North 42nd Street in Fort Pierce.

Sheriff’s deputies arrived on scene within seven minutes and observed two black males running from the home. Patrol deputies, along with undercover detectives, the air unit and a K9 unit responded and set up a parimeter around a wooded lot.

The first suspect was located and placed under arrest at 2:47 p.m.  Second suspect was located and placed under arrest at 2:58 p.m.

Items taken from the victim’s home were located in the search for both suspects.

Cameron Paschal, 17, and Denickson Cyrius, 18, were both charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling (felony), theft and resisting arrest without violence. Paschal was released to the Department of Juvenile Justice and Cyrius was booked into the St. Lucie County Jail.

“School is out and so are our deputies,” said Sheriff Ken J. Mascara. “If you’re sitting home bored and decide to commit a crime; be prepared to take the ride, we have plenty of chores for you at the jail
