Ft Pierce home destroyed by Fire
A fire destroyed a home on South Sixth Street near Delaware Avenue Saturday afternoon, the St. Lucie County Fire District said.
The blaze ignited around 2:16 p.m. Several units responded to the 500 block of south 6th street.
The fire originated in a closet. It was contained to a bedroom. The home in uninhabitable.
The family of four was was not home at the time.
The cause is under investigation.
