FORT PIERCE RESIDENTS, AGENCIES COME TOGETHER FOR “UNITY IN OUR COMMUNITY”

Fort Pierce, FL, July 14, 2017 – Approximately 1,000 enthusiastic Fort Pierce children participated in a free day of music, dance, contests and other events at the Fort Pierce Police Department’s “Unity in Our Community” event Wednesday at the Percy Peek Gymnasium, 2902 Avenue D, Fort Pierce.

This free event featured  kid-oriented activities. There was face painting, balloons, a slip and slide, rock painting and child fingerprinting, as well as wet and dry bounce houses. Some families took advantage of pediatric dental care, while adult health screenings and HIV and STI testing also was available.

A highlight of the program was the talent spotlight, which featured praise dancers, spoken word, singing, dancing, and skits.
