FORT PIERCE POLICE ARRESTS SUSPECT IN TRAFFIC HOMICIDE INVOLVING TWO YOUNG ADULTS AND  INFANT

Fort Pierce, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- Fort Pierce Police have arrested the suspect involved in the traffic crash that occurred on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, involving two young adults and one infant.
Traffic Homicide Investigator Shane Stokes arrested Marcos Gonzalez-Salinas in connection with the traffic crash that claimed the life of a young adult female, 19. The infant did not suffer any major injuries, however, the male victim, 19, is still in critical condition. Thanks to the great investigative work of the Traffic Homicide Investigators working the case, Officer Shane Stokes, Officer Fabian Zamora, and Officer Nicholas McWilliams, along with the support of the community, this suspect was located and arrested.

ORIGINAL POST: THE FORT PIERCE POLICE DEPARTMENT IS INVESTIGATING A TRAFFIC CRASH WITH SERIOUS INJURIES AND IS SEEKING YOUR ASSISTANCE
Fort Pierce Police are investigating a traffic crash involving two vehicles that occurred on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at approximately 7:41 pm at the intersection of S. 13th Street and Boston Avenue.
A white Toyota SUV was headed westbound in the 1200 block of Boston Avenue approaching S 13th Street. A Kia 4-door sedan was traveling south in the 100 block of S. 13th Street approaching Boston Avenue. The white SUV failed to yield to the right of way and crashed into the Kia sedan. The Kia was occupied by one adult male, one adult female, and one infant. The two adult victims sustained serious injuries and were transported to Lawnwood Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the white Toyota SUV fled the scene of the crash.
This morning, the female victim, age 18, succumbed to her injuries and the male victim, age 19, is still listed in critical condition.
The Fort Pierce Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the driver of the white SUV.
