Fort Pierce: Car crashes into business.
St Lucie Fire Rescue was on the scene of a an MVC involving a vehicle vs a building in the 6100 block of US1 of Fort Pierce. It happened at “Buddys Truck and Van Accessories”
The work day got off to a terrifying start yesterday after a car slammed into a business in Fort Pierce. Authorities say it happened just before 9 am at “Buddy’s Truck & Van Accessories” off South U.S. 1, just before Midway Road. Tom Altiery works at the business and said he and his co-worker were just a few feet from where the car crashed through the front entrance.
Altiery says behind the wheel was the customer who had just called moments before about stopping by to pick up a brochure. St. Lucie County Fire and Rescue crews say the woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and is expected to be just fine.
Authorities say the cause of the crash is still under investigation. Buddy’s did remain open for business.
