Former Stuart Air Show President arrested. Accused of stealing

Stuart, Fla- The former president of the Stuart Air Show has been arrested, accused of stealing thousands of dollars from the First Florida Chapter of Military Vehicle Preservation Association.

59-year old Michael Anthony Roberts was arrested earlier this month on a felony grand theft charge.

Roberts is not only the past president of the Stuart Air Show.  He also founded the Road to Victory Military Museum, and was treasurer of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association.

According to the TC Palm, the case began in November. The association contacted the Martin County Sheriff’s Office with evidence that Roberts had taken $11,000.

Roberts stepped down as president of the Stuart Air Show just last week. The air show would not confirm that he stepped down because of his arrest. They said that he stepped down for personal reasons.

Roberts has pled not guilty.
