Florida Department of State Urges Citizens to Register to Vote before the October 5th Deadline

In an effort to register all eligible Floridians ahead of the October 5th Deadline for the November 3, 2020 General Election, the Florida Department of State partnered with the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC) and will be mailing out a postcard to approximately 38,167 St. Lucie County residents who are potentially eligible to register. Every citizen that has a Florida Drivers Licenses or a Florida Identification Card and is not a registered voter will receive this mailing unless their address is exempt from public disclosure in the voter registration system.

Gertrude Walker, St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections would like to encourage all residents receiving the postcard to visitRegistertoVoteFlorida.gov and complete the Online Registration Application. Residents may also visit any of the following Supervisor of Elections Offices and register to vote from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday including Saturday October 3rd:

• Orange Blossom Business Center – 4132 Okeechobee Rd. Fort Pierce

Grand Re-Opening October 5, 2020 – St. Lucie West South County Annex – 250 NW Country Club Dr. Port St. Lucie

• County Administration Annex – 1664 SE Walton Rd. Port St. Lucie

• Tradition Tax Collectors Office – 10264 SW Village Parkway Port St. Lucie

Those who are already registered to vote are encouraged to verify and update the information on their Voter Information Card, find their precinct and view their sample ballot online by visiting slcelections.com.

Deadline to register to vote for the November 3rd General Election is October 5, 2020.
