FHP: Fatal Accident in Okeechobee on US Hwy 441
Okeechobee, Fla– According to FHP there has been a fatal accident in Okeechobee.
It happened 1:34 03/17/2018 on 245 US Hwy 441.
Vehicle 1 was a 2000 Honda CN250 driven by Ricky Pruitt of Okeechobee. He sustained fatal injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Vehicle 2 was a 2001 Ford F150. It was driven by Jeffrey Adams of Okeechobee. He also had a passenger with him who was uninjured.
According to FHP Pruitt was traveling southbound on US HWY 441. Adams was also traveling southbound on US Hwy 441. Pruitt failed to observe slowing traffic ahead. As a result, Pruitt’s front end collided with the rear of the Ford F150.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
