On 12/5/16, FPD obtained arrest warrants for Joseph Edward “Elvis” Salinas, DOB 11/24/89, HT: 6’02”, WT 180, for the following offenses:
Burglary
Credit card theft
Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card (two counts)
Officers have probable cause to believe that on 11/29/2016, sometime between 4:30 AM and 5:05 AM, Salinas entered a motor vehicle parked at an address on Esperanza Circle without the owner’s permission. While inside, he removed a wallet containing the victims credit card and other items of value. Later that same day, Salinas fraudulently used the credit card by making a purchase at a local store.
Additionally, officers have probable cause to believe that on 12/2/2016, Salinas fraudulently used the credit card of another victim at another local store. The card was reported stolen from a motor vehicle parked at a residence in Meadows Court sometime between 10:00 PM on November 30th and 7:00 AM on December 1st.
Salinas is a person of interest in other crimes and may continue to commit criminal offenses if not apprehended.
Area residents are strongly encouraged to lock their car doors and windows. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Joseph Edward “Elvis” Salinas is asked to contact the Fellsmere Police Department at 571-1360 or 911 OR:
