CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
MARTIN COUNTY
Kanner Highway / State Road 76 from Lost River Road to south of Monterey Road
Traffic Impact:
The speed limit on Kanner Highway from Lost River Road to Indian Street has been reduced from 50 mph to 45 mph. The speed limit will remain at 45 mph after project completion.
One lane in either direction of Kanner Highway from Lost River Road to Martin County High School may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for drainage work and roadway widening.
One lane in either direction of Kanner Highway from Lost River Road to Cove Road may be closed intermittently Sunday through Friday night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for bridge work.
The sidewalk along the east side of Kanner Highway just south of the high school will be intermittently impacted Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., with flagmen holding pedestrian traffic so construction vehicles can enter and exit the pond area.
The sidewalk along southbound Kanner Highway from Pomeroy Street to South River Drive may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for drainage work. Pedestrians will be detoured to the northbound sidewalk along Kanner Highway at Indian Street and Pomeroy Street.
I-95 Interchange at Kanner Highway (State Road 76 / Exit 101)
Traffic Impact:
One lane in each direction of Kanner Highway may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for road work.
One lane in each direction of Kanner Highway will be closed Sunday through Thursday night between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. for roadway striping.
I-95 / Martin Highway (State Road 714) Interchange Landscape Improvements
Cost/Completion: $1.15 million. Completion in fall 2017.
Traffic Impact:
The shoulders at the I-95 / Martin Highway interchange may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. through fall 2017.
NE Causeway Boulevard from Indian River Drive to State Road A1A in Jensen Beach
Traffic Impact:
The sidewalk along the north side of NW Causeway Boulevard is closed for building construction through October 2017. Pedestrians should use the sidewalk on the south side of the roadway.
U.S. 1 from SE Heritage Boulevard to SE Seabranch Boulevard in Hobe Sound
Traffic Impact:
One lane in each direction of U.S. 1 will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. through May 12 for construction of turning lanes.
Kanner Highway and U.S. 1 in Stuart
One northbound lane of Kanner Highway and the northbound right turn lane of Kanner Highway to southbound U.S. 1 will be closed Monday and Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for utility maintenance.
Ernest Lyons Bridge from Sewall’s Point Road to MacArthur Boulevard in Stuart
Advance Notice: Ernest Lyons Bridge from Sewall’s Point Road to MacArthur Boulevard will undergo a full closure Friday, May 19 at 6 p.m. though Sunday, May 21 at 11 p.m. for the annual Stuart Sailfish Regatta. Motorists heading eastbound should detour via Sewall’s Point Road to Indian River Drive to Causeway Boulevard to A1A. Motorists heading westbound should detour via A1A to Causeway Blvd to Indian River Drive to Sewall’s Point Road.
ST. LUCIE COUNTY
State Road 70 / Okeechobee Road and Jenkins Road Intersection in Fort Pierce
Traffic Impact:
One lane in either direction of Okeechobee Road from I-95 to Kerr Street may be closed intermittently Sunday through Thursday night between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. and Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for road work.
One lane in either direction of Jenkins Road to the north & south of the Okeechobee Road intersection may be closed intermittently Sunday through Thursday night between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. and Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for road work. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
The sidewalk on the north side of Okeechobee Road from Peters Road to McNeil Road is closed through spring 2017. Pedestrians may cross at the signalized intersections at Peters Road & McNeil Road.
Indrio Road Widening Project in Fort Pierce
Traffic Impact:
The speed limit on Indrio Road between I-95 and Emerson Avenue has been reduced from 55 mph to 45 mph. The speed limit will remain at 45 mph after project completion.
One lane in either direction of Indrio Road may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for widening. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
One lane in either direction of Johnston Road may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for widening. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
One lane in either direction of Emerson Avenue may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for widening. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
One lane in either direction of Spanish Lakes Boulevard may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for construction. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
Spanish Lakes Boulevard has been realigned to its permanent configuration. Motorists entering and exiting the Spanish Lakes Fairways community must use the new signalized Koblegard Road intersection. The Spanish Lakes Fairways entrance west of Koblegard Road will no longer be in use.
I-95 Bridge Deck Replacement Project at Gatlin Boulevard and Midway Road
Traffic Impact:
The outside lanes of northbound and southbound I-95 at Gatlin Boulevard are closed around-the-clock, with two lanes open in each direction.
The outside lanes of northbound and southbound I-95 at Midway Road are closed around-the-clock, with two lanes open in each direction.
Traffic on Gatlin Boulevard at I-95 will be reduced to one lane in each direction and shifted to the north or south Sunday through Saturday night between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. for overhead bridge work.
1 lane in each direction of I-95 at Gatlin Boulevard at the I-95 may be closed Sunday night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. to relocate barrier wall.
One lane in each direction of Gatlin Boulevard at I-95 will be closed Monday through Saturday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for bridge work.
1 lane in each direction of Midway Road at I-95 will be closed Monday through Saturday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for bridge work.
Midway Road Widening Project from S. 25th Street to U.S. 1
Traffic Impact:
One lane in either direction of Midway Road from 25th Street to U.S. 1 may be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
One lane in either direction of Oleander Avenue from W. 1st Street to north of Midway Road will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
One lane in either direction of Sunrise Boulevard from W. 1st Street to Augusta Street will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
One lane in either direction of 25th Street north and south of Midway Road will be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
North 25th Street from St. Lucie Boulevard (County Road 608) to U.S. 1.
Traffic Impact:
One lane in each direction of 25th Street will be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. through May.
U.S. 1 from Virginia Avenue to Ohio Avenue in Fort Pierce
Traffic Impact:
One lane in each direction of U.S. 1 will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for median work and install mast arms.
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY
I-95 (SR 9) from just north of State Road 60 (Osceola Boulevard/Exit 147) at Vero Beach to the Indian River/Brevard County Line
Traffic Impact:
Motorists should be alert for slow moving construction vehicles entering and leaving the travel lanes.
The speed limit has been reduced to 60 mph in the work zone.
One lane in each direction of I-95 may be closed Sunday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for construction activities.
Southbound I-95 traffic from MM 156.5 to MM 155.8 is shifted to the new section of the CR-512 Bridge.
Northbound I-95 traffic is shifted to the southbound lanes from MM 154 to MM 154.8
Northbound I-95 traffic is shifted to the northbound lanes from MM 156 to the end of the project at MM 160.
U.S. 1 at 11th Street in Vero Beach
Traffic Impact:
One northbound lane of U.S. 1 will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. through May 5 to construct a business entrance.
State Road 60 and 90th Avenue Intersection in Vero Beach
Traffic Impact:
One lane in each direction of SR 60 may be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to build a new turning lane and make median adjustments.
U.S. 1 South of 57th Street in Vero Beach
Traffic Impact:
One northbound lane of U.S. 1 will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for utility work.
U.S. 1 at Vista Palm Lane in Vero Beach
Traffic Impact:
One northbound lane of U.S. 1 will be closed Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for utility work.
