Fatal Crash on U.S.1 near Vero.
Indian River County– US-1 SB is shutdown at Highland Drive in Vero Beach due to crash. Indian River County deputies are assisting FHP. South bound lanes are closed. IRCSO requests you seek alternate route.
The 2 vehicle crash took place at 6:10 a.m. FHP said a young child died at the scene. Two adults and another child were taken to the hospital.
The name of the child has not been released.
