Fatal crash in Okeechobee
Okeechobee, Fla- A fatal crash happened at 1:03 am on US-441 in Okeechobee.
Jerome Storie,43, of Bartow was driving south in the opposite direction on US-441’s Northbound Lane.
Diego Vega , 22, of Okeechoee was traveling north on US-441.
Both cars collided. Vega’s care ended up southeast in the eastern grass shoulder facing northwest.
Storie was transported by air to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Vega was pronounced dead on the scene by Okeechobee Fire Rescue.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation according to FHP.
