Fairwinds Junior Golf Tournament Series Tees Off June 13

Junior golfers looking for some healthy competition can participate this summer in Fairwinds Golf Course’s Junior Tournament Series, beginning June 13.

This program is designed to give junior golfers the opportunity to play at a competitive level. There are up to six tournaments will be played at area golf courses. Each tournament will award first, second and third place prizes within each flight. Players are grouped based on a combination of age and skill level.

Open to ages 7 – 17, who have not yet graduated high school, this summer tournament series, will take place on Tuesdays, starting June 13 at a variety of local courses including Gator Trace, Meadowood, The Saints, Indian Hills, Savanna Club and Fairwinds. The participating golf courses have all donated the use of their facilities as a way to support this program that seeks to promote the game of golf to the next generation of players.

Cost to participate is $40 for the six-tournament series. Advanced registration is required. For more information, call 772-462-GOLF (4653) or visit www.fairwindsgolf.com.
