HRC South Florida Dinner Volunteer Sign-Up

Thank you for offering your time to volunteer at the 2023 HRC South Florida Dinner (Saturday, January 28th). We really appreciate it, and we wouldn’t be able to do this without your help!

There are two volunteer shifts for this event. It is ok if you can’t stay for the entire shift. We appreciate any time you can spare.
The morning shift is from 9:30am – 2pm. Getting ready for the HRC Dinner takes a lot of time, dedication and most of all people! Volunteering to help set up is an important part of this big event. You can expect to assist with merchandising the silent auction items, assembling and placing centerpieces, ensuring that donation cards are on each table and helping the dinner committee and staff with a variety of tasks that need to be completed. By the end of the day, your hard work will ensure that HRC is ready to welcome our members and supporters to our signature event. Lunch will be provided.
The evening shift is from 4:30 pm-10:00 pm. Volunteers at the HRC Dinner can expect an exciting night where your hard work ensures that everything runs smoothly. Below are the different roles we will need covered by volunteers and what you can expect for that role:

*Check-in & Training

When you arrive at the event, you’ll be checked in by the volunteer coordinator and issued your event credentials. This will be followed by a short overview and training.

*Guest Arrivals & Reception

As guests arrive, your duties may include registration, checking tickets or assisting with the silent auction. You are the first impression of the event, so come ready to say “hello and welcome” to hundreds of friendly HRC supporters.


Once the guests are seated in the ballroom, HRC will provide volunteers with a special dinner and some time to take a break. Then we will get ready to help with the fundraising portions of the program. You may be asked to help collect donation cards or help with the exciting live auction or raise-the-paddle.

Auction Checkout & Tear Down

After the stage program, you’ll help distribute the auction items that guests purchased from the silent auction. Then once everything is packed up, you can checkout with the volunteer coordinator.
