39th Annual Chili Cook-Off – Join the Boys & Girls Club of St. Lucie County (BGCSLC) as they kick off this year’s “Get Your Chili Team,” the annual public event that’s fun, free for all and supports youth development in St. Lucie County!

As in previous years, the community comes together in support of this great cause to sample delicious chili recipes, visit vendors, enjoy games and entertainment, and wait for the results of the judging of teams competing for the best chili recipes, booth design, and fundraising. Participants will be encouraged to visit every booth to sample chili and vote for the People’s Choice Award.

“Watching youth in our county grow year after year as part of Boys & Girls Clubs is why A & G Pools continues to support this amazing organization. We are proud to be the title sponsorship of the of St. Lucie County’s longest-running fundraiser,” said Travis Leonard, CEO, of A & G Concrete Pools.

This year’s event also has a new category for “Show us Your Chili Dog!”  Attendees are encouraged to dress up their pooch in their favorite Halloween-themed costume, character, or movie to win prizes.

“I am always impressed to see our community come together with their creativity in their chili, their booths, and their fundraising. This year’s teams have really stepped up all knowing that their imagination branches into getting our Club kids to have the best opportunities,” said Will Armstead, CEO, BGCSLC

In addition to A&G Concrete Pools serving as the presenting sponsor, The Treasure Coast Food Bank is the Title sponsor, St. Lucie Draft House sponsored the Kid Zone. The awesome t-shirts were sponsored by Hoskins, Turco, Lloyd & Lloyd while Florida Healthy Kids sponsored the Chili sampler kits and John Jacobs Construction is the Welcome Booth sponsor. Seacoast Bank is our souvenir sponsor while Okeechobee Steakhouse and Travis Walker sponsored the event contests. 411-Pain made sure that all kids will have a bag to collect their trick-or-treat swag. WPSL radio served as Media Sponsor and helped create the public service announcements to promote the event.

The annual event is being held Saturday, October 23rd at Clover Park, home of the Mets.  Doors open at 11:00 a.m. and close at 4:00 p.m.  There is free admission and parking.
