On October 14, 2017, Port St. Lucie Police arrested Jonathan Wainwright Mayfield (DOB 10/22/46, 10400 SW Stephanie Way, Port St. Lucie) on the charges of stalking and two counts of vandalism after he was captured on video damaging his neighbor’s property.
The investigation began on October 7, 2017 when the victim told police that their upstairs neighbor has been harassing them in various ways. The victim showed the officer a video that was taken on July, 6, 2017. You can see Mayfield pouring motor oil on the landscape plants. During the same time motor oil was poured on the victim’s brick pavers causing damage.
During another incident captured on video on August 3, 2017, Mayfield is seen walking to the camera. Then he sprayed an unknown substance on the camera eye then walking toward the side of the house. After this incident the victim noticed their water spout was damaged causing it to continuously leak.
Police presented the evidence to the State Attorney’s Office and ultimately secured a warrant for Mayfield’s arrest on the charges of stalking and criminal mischief.
