‘East Cashmere’ NICE community meeting and survey, Oct. 28

What:                    Meeting for the community temporarily called ‘East Cashmere’ and opportunity to participate in online naming survey

When:                   The meeting will be Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.; The online survey will be live from Oct. 11, 2017 to Oct. 25, 2017.

Where:                  Turtle Run Park, 1945 SW Cameo Blvd, Port St Lucie, FL 34953, under the pavilion

Why:                      Residents will have a new opportunity to provide name suggestions for the community tentatively called East Cashmere as part of the City’s Neighborhood Improvement and Community Engagement (NICE) program. The community boundaries are: north of the C-24 Canal, south of Crosstown Parkway, east of Cashmere Boulevard and Del Rio Boulevard and west of the Florida Turnpike. (See map below.) Name suggestions can be submitted through the survey until October 25 athttps://www.surveymonkey.com/r/EastCash.

At the meeting, residents will review the community names and work with City staff to narrow down the list. For the convenience of residents, the City is bringing the meetings outside of City Hall and to locations within the communities.

After the meeting, property owners in the community will receive a paper ballot with the opportunity to vote for one name. A majority vote will determine the new community name. Residents with questions should contact Mark Hamel, Program Manager, NICE@cityofpsl.com, (772) 871-7395.
