Driver involved in paramedics death arrested.

DUI Manslaughter/Vehicular Homicide Arrest.

Genaro Delacruz Ajqui  was arrested in connection with the traffic fatality involving an American Medical Response (AMR) ambulance. This occurred on June 1, 2017 in the area of West Indiantown Road at Philadelphia Drive. During this investigation, probable cause was established to charge Ajqui with two counts of DUI Manslaughter, two counts of Vehicular Homicide, one count of DUI Damage to Person/Property, and one count of Driving Without a License Causing Death.

Jupiter Police Chief, Frank Kitzerow would like to extend his deepest condolences to the friends and family members of EMT Supervisor, Lahiri Garcia and Paramedic Supervisor, Paul Besaw who lost their lives during the crash. The Jupiter Police Department will be working closely with the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office as this case moves forward through the criminal justice process.
