The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating at least two auto burglaries that happened in your community between Friday evening and early Saturday morning. T
The first burglary occurred to a vehicle on SW Brookside Drive. Thieves smashed in the vehicle’s window and pilfered through a wallet that was left inside the car. The second burglary took place on SW Oak Water Place. The vehicle was left unlocked and a wallet was left inside the car. In that case any cash left inside the wallet was stolen.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is urging all residents to remove valuables such as wallets, purses, loose change, and electronics from your vehicle each night. Make sure your doors are locked and call 9-1-1 if you see or hear something suspicious. A Code Red call will be sent to residents in that community.
