Couple arrested after stealing generators and pressure washers

Port St Lucie, Fl- A couple was arrested on multiple charges after stealing generators and pressure washers from a PSL Home Depot.

On June 1, 2018, PSLPD arrested 36 year old Harry Abramson and 36 year old Pamela Abramson, (both from Winter Springs), after the duo stole 2 generators and 2 pressure washers from the Home Depot located at 700 SW St. Lucie West Blvd.

The investigation began when the manager of the Home Depot told called police to report that a male and female had just stolen generators from the store and fled in a U-Haul Van.

An alert officer spotted the van traveling west on St. Lucie West Blvd traveling away from the scene. He pulled the van over and made contact with the driver, Harry Abramson. Then, he noticed Pamela Abramson was trying to conceal herself by crouching down in the cabin of the van.
The officer looked through the window of the van and observed the stolen items. The officer had Harry exit the van and detained him while ordering Pamela not to move. The patrol sergeant arrived on scene.  Pamela moved into the driver’s seat of the van and put the van in drive. The sergeant was able to reach into the van and stop Pamela from driving off.

 The Home Depot Manager positively identified Harry and Pamela as the two who stole the property. Police recovered the generators and pressure washers from the van.  Police learned that the U-Haul van was pas due. U-Haul was in the process of reporting the van stolen. Police also located small baggies with a substance that tested positive for Heroin/Fentanyl in Harry’s Possession. Police also located a new legend drug in Pamela’s Possession.

Harry was arrested for grand theft/coordinate with others, possession of controlled substance, failure to return leased property, possession of paraphernalia, and DWLS. Pamela was arrested for possession of new legend drug, resisting officers, grand theft/coordinate with others, failure to return leased property, possession of paraphernalia, and DWLS. Both were taken to the SLC Jail for booking.
