Food From Fans 2015

Catch a free baseball game with food donation

The annual Food From Fans night once again has stepped up to the plate to help House of Hope’s food pantries.

With a donation of two cans of food, fans can receive a free ticket to the game between the St. Lucie Mets and the Bradenton Marauders, 6:30 p.m. June 25, 2015, at Tradition Field, 525 NW Peacock Blvd, Port Saint Lucie.

Thrivent Financial Community of the Treasure Coast sponsors the event and has a goal to raise 4,000 pounds of food for House of Hope. That’s the equivalent of nearly 3,300 meals.

Past years’ Food From Fans nights raised the following amounts:

  • 2014: House of Hope received 1,085 pounds of food on a rainy evening.
  • 2013: House of Hope and Treasure Coast Food Bank shared the food donations, with House of Hope receiving 1,800 pounds.
  • 2012: House of Hope and Mustard Seed Ministries shared the food donations, with House of Hope receiving 1,027 pounds.

Since 1984, House of Hope has been helping people overcome hunger and hardship in Martin County. Today, the agency touches more than 5,000 people per month with services that include food, clothing, furniture, financial assistance, information & referral, and case management services to guide people toward greater self-sufficiency.

Information about House of Hope is available online at www.hohmartin.org or by calling (772) 286-4673.
