On September 13, 2016 at 7:45 pm PSLPD went to a car fire at SW Crosstown Parkway and Sw Cobalt Street.
The car was fully engulfed in flames.
The driver of the car was unharmed and made statements to the police that he had been charging his Samsung 7 phone when it burst into flames.
SLC Fire Department arrived on scene and put the fire out. Suggestion that the phone caused the fire has not been confirmed at this time as The Fire Marshall is continuing their investigation into the cause of the fire.
