Burt Reynolds Dead at 82

Burt Reynolds was an acting legend and a bigger than life character on the movie screen, but to many throughout the Treasure Coast and South Florida he was kind, down to earth, and a friend. He died yesterday after suffering a heart attack at his home in Tequesta.
Legendary actor Burt Reynolds has died, according to multiple sources. The Oscar-nominated actor died of cardiac arrest, according to his agent.
According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, dispatchers received a 911 call from his home at 12:47 p.m. The caller told dispatchers the 82-year-old man had difficulty breathing and needed medical attention. The first crews on scene made contact with Reynolds and his caretaker before rushing him to the hospital where he died.
