Broward woman accused of stealing from Toys ‘R’ Us in Jensen Beach

Jensen Beach, Fl- A 30-year-old woman from Deerfield Beach was arrested for reportedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from Toys “R” Us.

Ishella Silvena Richards loaded up her shopping cart with over $1,700 worth of toys and other items and headed out the door, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office said.

Despite employees best attempts to stop her from leaving with the unpaid merchandise, she left anyway. Richards ran in to the parking lot, loaded her SUV, and sped off down US 1.

Deputies in the area spotted that SUV. Richards tried to outrun them, but failed. Once stopped, Richards was placed in handcuffs. Inside the vehicle, in plain view, deputies saw mounds of stolen toys valued at $1,797.30.

Ishella Silvena Richards was arrested for grand theft and fleeing and eluding. She was taken to the Martin County Jail with a $10,000 bond.
