Brightline: Work schedule for North Causeway railroad crossing to/from North Hutchinson Island

Fort Pierce, Fl  (treasurecoast.com) -Full closure is now scheduled for overnight hours beginning Monday, May 2.

The updated construction plan will impact traffic at the crossing between April 18 and May 16. During this time the roadway will remain open, lane closures will occur and flaggers will be present. Traffic will be detoured for one full day in May when the crossing is closed. Brightline is working with emergency responders to provide access to the island at all times. Schedules are subject to change.

The work is being coordinated with the Florida Department of Transportation and St. Lucie County and will bring necessary crossing improvements including new crossing signals, crossing gates, pedestrian gates and roadway asphalt improvements in preparation for the addition of a second railroad track.
