Bomb scare in PSL

The bomb squad called in and Residents were evacuated after a scare in a Port St Lucie neighborhood.

Saturday afternoon  authorities received a call about a suspicious device located in the swale on SW Fashoda.

Port St Lucie Police responded and found what appeared to be a pressure cooker with exposed wiring.

Nearby residents evacuated as a precaution while the bomb squad came in to investigate. The road was closed.

It was quickly determined that the pressure cooker was discarded garbage. It was not an explosive device or even a prank or hoax.
