BOLO for absconded sexual offender
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office has issued a citizen’s BOLO (Be On The Look-Out) for 46 year old Rodney Eugene Hedgecraft, an absconded sexual offender from Indiana.
Hedgecraft told authorities in Indiana that he was moving to Hobe Sound, and provided them with a forwarding address. When Martin County Sheriff’s Special Victim’s Unit detectives conducted their predator and offender checks, they learned that Hedgecraft provided Indiana authorities with a fictitious address. Hedgecraft has not been located. There is now an active warrant for his arrest.
The Martin County Sheriff BELIEVE HEDGECRAFT HAS TIES TO HOBE SOUND, and it is possible he is in the vicinity. If you see Rodney Hedgecraft, or have information on his whereabouts, call 911.
Hedgecraft is not only a sexual offender, he has a past criminal history, which includes charges of battery with a deadly weapon causing serious injury, and resisting a law enforcement officer. Do not approach.
