There has been a string of smash and grab burglaries in Port St Lucie.
So far this month there have been five incidents where someone has broken into a parked vehicle and stolen various valuables from inside.
Four of the burglaries have occurred at the Gold’s Gym on Peacock Road.
The other happened at McChesney Park. Witnesses say they saw a white or silver 4-door sedan similar to a Kia or Nissan with dark tinted windows at two of the crime scenes.
So far the thieves have stolen several purses, wallets, credit cards, earrings, clothing, and a tablet.
The Port St Lucie police department advises that everyone should remove all valuables from their cars when parked, or hide them out of site.
