ARRRR You Ready for the 8th Annual Treasure Coast Pirate Festival

Those looking for a weekend of fun and excitement should look no further than the Treasure Coast Pirate Fest. Located at Veterans Memorial Park in historic Fort Pierce, this amazing event draws a huge crowd each year. It has been referred to by many as one of the historically accurate pirate festivals in and around Florida.

Loaded with colorful rogues, wenches, and scallywags, the family friendly Treasure Coast Pirate Fest offers up some of the nation’s finest re-enactors who help provide visitors with a true to life pirate encounter. This highly anticipated event has been a favorite among festival goers for more than 8 years and is on track to exceed expectations again this year.

Some festival high points include:

  • Meeting Don Maitz, (the artist who created the iconic Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum Character)
  • The Living History Pirate Encampment (a firsthand look at how pirates lived ashore
    back in the day)
  • The Pirate Weapon Demonstrations with real swords, muskets and cannons!

Scheduled Lineup

The scheduled lineup of live music is equally impressive with the:

  • Scottish Pipes
  • Drums band Albannach
  • The fun-loving Irish American band, Bawdy Boys
  •   The eclectic world fusion band “A”-Tribe  (who blend the Australian Didgeridoo, Indian Sitar and a mix of other organic instruments with modern day rhythms.)

For the Kids!

There is also plenty for the younger pirates such as the kid’s costume contest, Blackbeard’s Kid’s Show,
guided treasure hunts, the very popular Little Buccaneer Kid’s Zone, and the Quest Game, which is an
interactive hunt for wanted pirates.

Another great feature of the pirate festival is that visitors can shop more than a hundred various nautical
theme and arts & craft booths and sample delicious foods while taking in the sights and sounds during this 3-day fun-filled event.

Pirate Fest admission is free.  A $2.00 “Buck -N- Ear” voluntary contribution is greatly appreciated. That be two dollars for ye landlubbers! Non-perishable food donations will be accepted at the gates for the Treasure Coast.
