2nd Army of Hope Charity Golf Classic Set
The 2nd Annual Army of Hope Charity Golf Classic conducted by Stuart-Jensen Elks Lodge #1870 is scheduled at Hammock Creek in Palm City, Fl. on Sunday, May 1st, 2022 at Hammock Creek Golf Club. The tournament is a 4 person scramble format with lots of prizes. Registration opens at 11:30 am with a tee time of 1:00 pm. Following golf, there is a full dinner featuring brisket and chicken with selected sides.
The Army of Hope Charity was created by the Florida State Elks Association. Its mission is to assist families of deceased, veteran, and deployed service members in the State of Florida when a short-term financial emergency arises. Emphasis is on those service members who have or are now serving in Southwest Asia which comprises many middle east countries.
Examples of assistance include but are not limited to: Minor home repairs, A/C and major appliance repairs, auto repairs, or transportation when needed and other short-term financial needs of an emergency nature.
The Army of Hope is a 501 (c) (3) organization is managed by Elk volunteers. All funds donated are used to assist the families of service members in the State of Florida. There are no overhead expenses or salaries paid to operate the Army of Hope Charity.
The entry fee per golfer is $85.00 and a team entry is $340.00. Hole sponsorships for businesses or for those who wish to honor a deceased, veteran, or active duty service member are available. The cost of Hole Sponsorship is $50.00 per golf hole.
