Accidental fire burns five acres in St. Lucie
St. Lucie County, Fla- A wildfire burned roughly 5 acres of woodlands Sunday afternoon in western Port St Lucie. Officials say they believe the fire was started by a human, but that it was an accident. Most wildfires in the winter are man made, often by ATVs, motorcycles, or dirt bikes when their hot mufflers hit the super dry grass and brush. But officials say that is unlikely to have happened here, because there weren’t any tire tracks. The fire happened in a 45-acre wooded area near the Peacock Run Apartments, but no buildings were threatened.
