Agents with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office have arrested 30-year-old, Norris Lee
Fisher Jr., unincorporated Cocoa, for shooting a local business owner, 36-yearold
Herve Erilus, during an argument that occurred on February 3, 2016, in the 1300
block of Clearlake Road, unincorporated Cocoa.
In addition to the business owner, a second individual employed at a neighboring
business, 60-year-old Charles Eaton, was also injured when a bullet passed through a
wall and struck him in the lower leg.
Fisher was charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, Possession of a
Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Shooting Into An Occupied Building,
Culpable Negligence, Violation of Probation, and is currently being held at the
Brevard County Jail on No Bond.
Eaton was treated for his injuries at the scene. Erilus was transported in critical
condition and is expected to survive his injuries.
The investigation began after deputies responded to Erilus’ business after
receiving multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a shooting with multiple victims. Upon
arrival, deputies located both Erilus and Eaton still at the scene. Fisher, had fled

the scene in a vehicle, and was located in the area and found to have also been shot
during the incident.
Agents learned that Fisher had gone to the business on behalf of another individual to
confront the victim over a dispute regarding the amount of an income
tax refund. During the confrontation, Fisher fired multiple shots at Erilus. Erilus then
engaged Fisher and during a struggle for the gun, Fisher suffered multiple gunshot
wounds.
Crime scene investigators and agents worked throughout the evening collecting
evidence at the business.
Fisher was arrested this evening after being released from a local hospital.
