72-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Port St.Lucie
At 7:15pm last night, PSLPD responded to the 2300-BLK of SE Charleston Dr in reference to a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.
Preliminary investigation revealed a Kia Sorento was traveling south on SE Charleston Dr and a pedestrian was walking along the road in the same direction. The pedestrian turned to cross the road and was struck from behind by the vehicle. The pedestrian was transported by air rescue to the hospital and later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
