72-hour boil water notice for parts of Ft Pierce

Ft. Pierce, Fl-A 72-hour boil water notice will be in effect starting today for some people in Fort Pierce. 

FPUA Water Distribution has scheduled a shutdown for Savanna Road and South 3rd Street for Monday, July 8, 2019. This shutdown will affect five (5) commercial customers. The affected customers were notified via door hangers.

Boundaries are as follows:

North-Gardenia Avenue
South-Savannah Road
East-South 3rd Street
West-South 3rd Street


Affected customers will be under a 72 hour boil water advisory and should continue to boil their water until a rescind notice is issued.


Please follow these Environmental Protection Agency guidelines for boiling water:


1) Boil water to make it safe. Boil the water for one minute, let it cool, and store it in clean containers with covers.


2) If you can’t boil water, you can disinfect it using household bleach. Add 1/8 teaspoon (or 8 drops) of regular, unscented, liquid household bleach for each gallon of water, stir well and let stand for 30 minutes before you use it. Store disinfected water in clean containers with covers.
