2 Stuart men accused of threatening homeowner with assault rifle.

Two men are accused of threatening a homeowner with an assault rifle in Stuart.

According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, it started when a homeowner called 911 after seeing a pickup truck doing burnouts in the neighborhood. This happened around 7:45 on August 28, 2017.

A deputy approached the two men in the truck and gave them a warning. About 45 minutes later, the sheriff’s office received a call for an armed and dangerous incident.

The homeowner told deputies that the two men returned in a different car to threaten him with firearms.

The homeowner said Campbell cocked his gun and pointed it at him and Sclafani had a rifle and was encouraging Campbell to shoot him.
