16-year-old Fort Pierce boy dies in rollover crash

 St Lucie County, Fl– According to the Florida Highway Patrol a 16-year-old Fort Pierce boy died in a rollover crash. This happened shortly after midnight Saturday in north St. Lucie County.

Isaiah Santell was was pronounced dead at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce.

The pickup, driven by Dellavontay Crawford, 17, of Vero Beach, was traveling south on Russakis Road, a dirt road south of Russos Road. The F-150 veered off the left shoulder and struck a tree. The pickup continued south, struck another tree and overturned in a canal on the west side of Russakis  Road.

Paramedics took five other occupants to Lawnwood Hospital  for minor injuries. No one in the pickup was wearing a seat belt according to FHP.

The report states alcohol was not considered a factor in the crash.

The surviving passengers were Todd Doss Healy, 17, of Fort Pierce, Savannah Eden, 15, of Vero Beach, Anthony Russ Comegys, 17, of Vero Beach, Emma Sartor, 16, of Vero Beach, and Joshua Watson, 16, of Vero Beach.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
