St. Lucie Fire District: Unknown substance dropped off at fire district building

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com) -The bomb squad was called in after a mysterious substance was dropped off at a fire district building in Port St. Lucie.

At 10:07 AM a container of unknown substance was discovered in the dropbox at the Fire District administrative building. Per precautionary measures the building was evacuated and the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s bomb squad was called. Port St. Lucie Police also responded and assisted with road closures. The container was deemed “not” explosive and removed by the FD Hazmat team, who then transferred it to the Florida Department of Health (DOH) for content identification.
