Young anglers invited to participate in free kids fishing tournament on Saturday

 

 

What:                    35th Annual Kids Fishing Tournament

 

When:                   Saturday, November 18, 2017

 

Where:                  P.A.L. Building at Rotary Park, 2101 SE Tiffany Ave.

 

Why:                      The City of Port St. Lucie Parks & Recreation Department, Police Athletic League, Port St. Lucie Angler’s Club and Savannah Club, will host the 35th Annual Kid’s Fishing Tournament. Children 5 to 14 years old are invited to participate.  Youth 5 to 9 years old will register at 7:30 a.m., and they fish from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Youth ages 10 to 14 years old will register at 9 a.m. and fish from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Children 8 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Trophies will be awarded in each division. A free raffle will be offered and refreshments will be served. Kids will need to bring their own fishing pole and tackle, and, should bring single hook lures only. Participants also should bring protection against hooks and poles, such as sunglasses. This event is FREE to all participants.
