The Stuart Community Concert Band is under the direction of Jim LeBon and consists of dedicated volunteer musicians from all walks of life and of all ages, ranging from high school students to residents in their 80s. Today the band has more than seventy dedicated volunteer musicians.

They play for the love of music.

Originally founded back in 1915, the ever-growing Stuart Community Concert Band has been making music for more than a hundred years. How wonderful and exciting it is to be celebrating 100 years of playing music in the Stuart community!

Everyone is welcome to participate in this non-profit group.  Are you a music lover? Do you play a musical instrument? Did you ever? If so, this community band is always looking for new talent.

The band has musicians from all walks of life, ages, and professions who happily donate their time, skills, and talents to create quality music. Band members vary in skill level from those who have made music their life’s work to people who haven’t ’picked up an instrument in years and even decades.

What they all have in common is that they speak the same language… M-U-S-I-C.

Bonded by our love for music, we gather with our instruments every week to play, practice, and rehearse. Band rehearsals are on Monday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. at the North Stuart Baptist Church on U.S. 1, north of the Roosevelt Bridge. If you are interested in coming out to play, we’ll be happy to see you!

The Stuart Community Concert Band is a 501c(3) organization. Donations are always welcome.

This year the community band awarded $500 scholarships to two deserving high school music students who are continuing their music education in college. Chris Finken, a graduate of Port St. Lucie High School, and Jonathan Cooper, a graduate of Jensen Beach High School, each received a $500 scholarship from the Stuart Community Concert Band. Congratulations to both of these scholarship recipients as they continue their music education in college.
