Senior Living Facility director arrested for stealing

Senior Living Facility director arrested for stealing.

She was caught on tape for stealing cash from unsuspecting resident.

53-year old Serafina Frahm was the director at The Point on SE Ocean Boulevard. She didn’t think an 82-year old resident at her independent living facility would notice hundreds of dollars missing from her purse. She was right. The trusting senior resident didn’t notice, but the victim’s son did. He was so certain something was happening to his mother’s weekly spending money that he set up a camera inside her apartment. Then  he sat patiently in a closet.

In the video Frahm can be seen inside the apartment. She was opening dresser drawers and removing hundreds of dollars in cash from the victim’s purse. She wiped down the wallet with a cloth then began to walk out. That’s when the victim’s son entered the room, confronted Frahm and called the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

Frahm admitted to detectives that she used her master key to enter the apartment when she knew the victim would be out. Fortunately the victim’s son paid close attention to his mother’s daily activities and raised concerns to Martin County Sheriff’s Detectives when he felt that something was amiss. The woman’s family believes the theft happened on at least four occasions, with more than $1000.00 in cash missing..

Frahm was charged with burglary and grand theft from a person 65-years or older. She was booked into the Martin County Jail. Detectives are concerned that there may be more victims.
