Palm Beach Gardens Police say that an officer shot a man on the southbound I-95 exit ramp onto PGA Boulevard near a Double Tree hotel.
Police say the shooting occurred around 3:15 Sunday morning.
Officers confirm that the man who was shot was pronounced dead.
The officer has been placed on paid administrative leave, a standard procedure.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has taken over the investigation.
