Parks and Recreation Department Hosts Kids Triathlon

The Martin County Parks & Recreation Department will host the Annual Sailfish Splash Kid’s Triathlon at Sailfish Splash Waterpark on Sunday, August 30 at 7:00 a.m. Kids from the surrounding counties can compete as a first time triathlete or show their skills as a veteran racer. The triathletes will snap on their swim caps, saddle up on their bikes and run their way to a fun, healthy and exciting Treasure Coast event. Click here to view photos from last year’s event.

Participants must pre-register before August 24. There will be no registration on race day. Participants must have USA Triathlon (USAT) membership or purchase a one-day USAT membership on race day for $10.00.

The cost to register is $35.00. Registration includes Waterpark admission for the day for the participant and 30 percent off Waterpark admission for triathlon families for the day.

Age divisions will be 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12. There will be awards for first, second and third in each age group as well as finishers medals (medals for ages five and six only) and t-shirts for all participants.
